Cumin Seeds ('Jeera' in hindi) & It's weightloss remedies


Cumin seeds (Jeera) is the most common spice of Indian cuisine. It is also used as a medicinal plant and for Ayurveda treatment. Cumin water particularly has a lot of health benefits along with the favor it gives. It is most mentioned herbs in the Bible.
Cumin seeds are an excellent source of dietary fiber, essential minerals such as iron and calcium, B-complex vitamins and antioxidant vitamins. It's also believed that cumin seed is beneficial for heart disease, insomania, weakened immune system, vomiting, viral infection, etc.

Few benefits of Cumin Seeds are:

  • Cumin weight-loss drink: Being a good source of dietary fibre, it controls blood sugar, make you feel full longer and helps you lose weight fast. It increases the body heat and promotes weight loss. 
           Ingredients: 2 Tbsp of Cumin, 1/2 lemon and 1-1/2 glass of water.

            Method: Soak cumin seed in water overnight. In the morning, boil these soaked cumin seeds with water. Filter the water into a glass, cool it down slightly , add lemon juice and drink it. Follow this every morning on an empty stomach for 2 weeks for quick weight loss.

  • Cumin, lemon and honey for weight loss: Its combination helps in burning belly fat and hence reducing body weight at a faster pace.
             Ingredients: 1 Tbsp of cumin, 1 Tbsp honey, 1 tbsp lemon juice and 1- 1/2 water.

         Method: Add cumin seeds with water and boil it for 3-4 min.Strain the mixture and add lemon juice and honey to it. Mix well and drink it as tea.
  • Cumin powder in yogurt to reduce waist size: Yogurt helps you to keep full for longer and suppresses hunger. It is loaded with protein content which helps you to build muscles and gives you toned look. The combination of cumin powder and yogurt helps to boost metabolic rate and help you to keep full.
          Ingredients: 1 Tbsp of cumin powder and 150 gm of yogurt.

          Method: Add cumin powder and yogurt and have it in small amount. And add it in your daily diet.
